A spare of the moment piece created for my beautiful friends in their new home. It all started in the silence of a morning after a few too many wines. Cleaning and painting the walls a tinge of white. An idea was brought to life, "wanna do a mural?" my mate said.
The answer, of course, was a big fat YES. Anything to numb the headache.
Discussion of animals and colours were raddled off. There weren't too many that were sticking, so I went on cleaning some brushes when the idea hit me.
"What about an octopus?" this was the obvious answer, a family favourite of my friend's. Moments later I was on my way to Bunnings to pick up some brushes and paint.
I had no idea how it was gonna look, or how it was going to come to life. But I trusted that it would come together. And if not - we could just paint over it.
The journey began. An idea. Chalk. Deep breath. Paint.
