Bungara have followed me around Australia, or maybe I've followed them.
I have fond memories of chasing these lizards around with Tjiwarl mob, only to miss out on having a feed; instead having the biggest belly laughs.
Leading up to go on a big adventure in the Kimberley, I was asked to leave my mark on the walls where I had started my career in the Goldfields. A mural had been done on the wall next to the area that I was painting, this existing mural had majority of the local animals that you would see day to day; Wedge-Tailed Eagle, Emu, Thorny Devil, Marlu.. the list goes on. It was missing one creature that you would come across on every trip out bush.
A Bungara.
It was a privilege to create my first mural in this space and I'm incredibly grateful for the time spent in the Goldfields.
